A Toast to Ragdale

Celebrating the grand reopening of the Ragdale House, complete with ragtime music, roaring ‘20s décor, flapper dresses, and feather boas, supporters of Ragdale Foundation raised their glasses in unison during “A Toast to Ragdale” on May 5. Co-chaired by Ragdale Board President Phoebe Turner and Board Trustee Jeanna Park, the event was a tremendous success, carefully crafted by Steve Valenti of All Things Party.

Supporters toured the Arts and Crafts summer residence of architect Howard Van Doren Show, admiring the work that went into its $3.2 million renovation, which restored the home to its 1926 splendor. Following cocktails, a live and silent auction, and a sumptuous dinner, the more than 180 guests danced the night away under an outdoor canopy. The memorable evening raised more than $50,000 to support Ragdale Foundation, a nationally acclaimed, not-for-profit artist residency that provides more than 200 artists and writers the time and space to pursue their work in an uninterrupted environment.
